Prop shop, without a doubt some of the nicest props , expensive and they are not the fastest of people but worth waiting for.ringing is the best way to deal with them

Sorry Proteus, you have the same name as my "Battlestar" but, from end August to end April, tooooooo long to wait pal. There was a Christmas and a "New year" in between. ;D

Sitek does it for me, any time!

I found, gsitek very reasonable for their props,ok, they do have expensive props, which is ok if you,re investing in an expensive boat, but if you,re boat is a cheap one then i don,t see the point of spending double figures on a prop when you can have one that does the job for £6/7 ish, like for my Revell Gato, and V11c ,but ihave to say, there are so many different prices oiut there, just the other day i was quoted £70+postage for 2 x 30mm 4 bladed props for my Gato, which cost me £30, i nearly fell off my chair, then i got two from sitek, for £14, andi,m very happy with them, because after all,who sees the props when its in the water, only the little fish,s,I,ll be going back to sitek to get the props/shafts for my V11c

Props fall into 2 price categories, fabricated (reasonable prices) and mostly centrifugally cast (more expensive).  As far as I am aware, Prop Shop offerings are all cast and their prices reflect this.  I know that G Sitek produces fabricated props, but I'm not sure about cast ones?

Apart from moulded plastic and carbon, fabricated brass propellers are by far the most popular, probably because of the lower prices?  Cast propellers are generally better quality, but value for money is for the buyer to judge?

Raboesch produce both prefabricated and centrifugally cast propellers, and these fall into 2 completely different price categories.  All are competitively priced.

Hi Malc,i agree totally, its like horses for courses,
What I could,nt get my head round, was when I contacted a seller on Monday, and explained that i was looking for 2 x 30mm x 4 blade props, for my Revell Gato,he then quoted me £70 + for, cast  bronze, which i new were expensive, but were also over kill,Over these past few days i,ve looked at more props than i care to do ever again, and with so many varying prices, but have to say that sitek, prices are very good, condsidering that many of the other props i looked at were fabricated, but were more expensive,

a standard scale 4 bladed prop in bronze from prop shop is £13.98 inc vat each they are the 1212 x 4 blade scale prop so your postage must have been a bit steep was he hand delivering  and this is this months price list and I have orderd of it and it is correct so I make it £28  plus postage that is normally about £3.00 from them.

Dear All,

May I advise that the email Link below is to an extremely helpful person/engineer who has the capability to make things that others can't seemingly cope with... viz., such things as 4BA for example.

Whilst other 'specialists' seem to have problems engineering shafts of non standard spec. with all sorts of excuses, this person has no problem whatsoever (inc. props.), and supplies a very very helpfull, prompt and considerate service to boot.

Regards, Bernard
