V Tail Mixers??????
« on: August 28, 2009, 08:42:46 am »

Are these any good for boats? Seen a load on e-bay, but there is not a lot of info about them. Does anyone know if the can be fully mixed. One motor full ahead whilst one motor full astern?

Hope some one can shed some light on this for me.

The ones I brought did exactly that, some are only 50 % mix so will only stop one motor, check with seller. Mine had no form of adjustment so if they were wrong, nothing you can do.

Should be proportional right the way up to full travel in each direction.

I,ve bought one for my big Tiger, and it works proprtionaly,i.e. one motor in reverse whilst turning, and i,m putting one into my Gato,i think there a great little thing for not much money,

I bit the bullet and bought two. If they work, then what a bargain. If they don't I've only lost £5. Not like the boat specific at £10-15 each.
