Thanks to Huw "ACTionWeb" Davies for this nugget.

Seriously, there is a HUGE backlog of stuff in various Royal Mail depots around the UK at the moment, so please don't fire off any comments about getting lousy service from your usual suppliers etc etc - we're all stuck in the same boat here  >:-o

Ordered from Giant Cod in Cornwall Tues evening - PO delivered this pm. So some are getting through - but the dog DAP I ordered at the end of August still hasn't arrived - but its replacement has. A bit of a lottery I think. Hope it's all sorted by the time I get to phoning FLJ about the pre-dreadnought.(after the holiday and car/bike tax paid!)

For larger items,3kg to 25kg i only use parcel2go.com they are efficient, collect when they say they will, and deliver when they say,and their rates are far superior to that of the P.O,Parcelforce, etc, and now that they have brought in this new cheaper tariff,of £14,99 for 5 parcels collected at the one time, to deliver to 5 different address,s its good value for money, and posting abroad i.e.to mainland Europe, i don,t think they can be beaten,eg. 1 x 25kg box to Prague = £29.89,and it got there in 5 days,Parcelforce International quoted me £109,
a single item up to 25kg to anywhere in the UK,is only £8.99
