Hi everyone I am from Australia of Scottish origin and have been interested in model boating for a few years.
My first serious attempt was to build the deep sea salvage steam tug Knight of St Patrick built in Scotland 1886.
The model is 1/32 scale and makes her almost 5 feet long powered by twin electric motors geared down 2 to 1 with o-rings and pullies.
It has been running now every weekend for the last 2 years in salt water with no problems but need some refurbishment due to the salt air even though it is always washed down with fresh water at the end of the day.
I really think this is a wonderful forum in fact I have spent hours fascinated by the topics and helpful answers to questions .
I have tried to upload a photo but doesn't seem to be working somehow not sure about this computer stuff.
Cheers
John
