went to the lake today loverly weather here in cornwall problem when i put the speed control stick full speed boat stopped pull it back about one eighth everey thing behaves normal thanks regiment

Come on, Regiment  - give us at least a sporting chance to help you, mate.
It could be one of numerous problems, but you've given us precisely no information about the ESC, radio, type of battery, motor, prop, is this first-time out with the model etc etc.
Wombat does theory; I do soldering and b*sh*t; Stallspeed can recite Farnell's entire catalogue from memory, and PMK has left the building. None of us, however, can do telepathy.

I can do the telepathy, my ex father in law was a medium, well a happy medium actually, something we all strive for.
Dont know anything about electrics, I normally rely on my ACTion man.

you are dead right it was the esc put an old electroneze in ok  so enjoyed a very nice morning down at the lake  sun is shining o to live in cornwall   what a blessing regiment ps thanks again

I had this a while back with a Viper - I had changed TXs or something similar, and the ESC was not set for the current TX, which had a bit more "travel" on the signal.  A bit like that scene in Spinal Tap where the groups volume control goes up to 11 rather than the usual 10, only in this case it did.  From observing the ESC behaviour, if the ESC gets a longer pulse than "10", it decides that there is a fault, and switches off.  Recalibrating cured the problem.
