Krick Borkum build, but not as we know it Jim.
« on: October 01, 2009, 12:51:11 pm »

Here is my Borkum build, not steam, no spare cash, used an electric 850 and battery pack I had lying around. I will try to add photos, as I go. Mick.

Thanks Geoff, good point.
Started this build about six months ago. Cash flow dried up, so went for an easy option.
Spare motor and battery pack lying around, not really into steam, must have been confused.
Paint scheme is the result of an old can of burgundy car spray, used on a garden railway 'carriage', and a tin of yacht varnish, most of which had gone hard, can't abide waste.
Boat looks okay, and I am pleased with the result. Figures by George Turner.
Photographs taken over the six months, once I started to load them onto the forum, with 'Martins' help, couldn't stop myself, got quite carried away......mick. :-)

On the water, sails well, needs less weight and more rudder, otherwise okay.  :-))
