Are you going to use the Voith unit?

Yes that was the plan, I am thining of building it as a rebuilt triton - ie freelance rebuild based on the original design.

A friend of mine looked to buy one a few years ago with the view of rebuilding with a new wheelhouse, be nice to do it in model form if nothing else !!

Noooooooo, dint change it.
The Tritons are one of "ours", you never see many buff (humbrol No7) and black ships about.
I do know the voith units can be a pig to set up, but I have only built the Girl and Tids from Sirmar.
They went together fine, no probs at all.

I have a Parat kit ex fittings and voith units that I would consider selling - I have a new house and think it will be too big to keep here . . . .

Thats why I'm interested in the Triton Kit. It looks a nice size. I came across  pictur in Model Boats of one buit by Ray Malone in Essex that looked really good.
