Greetings

Hello all.

Another new face (well, name anyway).

I'm Ian, frequently known as Spook, from Barry, South Wales.

I have one build to my credit so far, the Northwind 36 racing yacht, which I built from a kit about 3-4 years ago. It looks nice and sails nicely as well, although not very frequently and, as a result of sub-standard storage will need a bit of TLC around the rails before it makes another outing.

I bought the Model Slipway Sentinel kit about a year ago but had no time to work on it. However, having made a mid-life career change, I'll now have a bit more time to devote to it. So far I have only put the prop tubes and rudders in place and opened up the various freeing ports etc, but today I put the r/c bits together for a dry-run and remarkably everything worked first time. I found this forum by accident, when searching for details on how to connect up the r/c gear, but hopefully it will be a happy accident  :-).

I'll let you know how I get on (and probably ask a lot of newbie questions along the way.).

Cheers,
Spook

Welcome Spook, I have just finished the Sentinel and thought it a great kit.

If you have any problems give me a shout.

I have done a build on the forum that you might find handy.

Hy Spook
Welcome to Mayhem, Might catch up with you down at Cold Knap, I try to get there on a sunday even if it,s just to have a look at what is going on. Usually sail in the week when it,s quieter.
You never know I might even drag Tug Kenny out of his workshop, but it,s probably getting a bit to cold for him just lately {-)
