« on: October 09, 2009, 06:14:29 am »

Hi guys i am looking in to the futaba 6EXP, i already have a boat on the attack 2er radio this is fast electric. I want a new boat/boats? Will this be ok with a fast electric its the graupner B24, i am thinking off a tug not sure which or a life boat, an a small pilot petrol boat. I think the radio will be OK just want to know what you guys think an what advice you have on them

Futaba 6exp, good bit of kit it should give you all the facilities you need for quite some time.
Unless you are into submarines, go for the 2.4 Gig version.

Agree about the 2.4 version , Futaba receivers are expensive at the moment though compared to spektrum.
I use a dx7  for surface and aero modeling no problems with it at all.the Dx6i might be worth a look £130 with rx.
Hope this helps Chris

Not sure how the rooster tail affects spektrum, it works fine with fast launches like Deans ASRL .
Im never going to go that fast so it works for me .maybe some one from the powerboat fraternity can advise?

Nothing at all wrong with it.

I'd go with the Spektrum.

one thing about the Futaba is that you can get a self centre kit for the left hand stickand they are only a few pounds ..read post re spectum and there are a few othere's if you do a search
you also have to buy the marine version receivers as they are the only one's they recommend for a boat.

Marine reciever? Spektrum don't make one either...

This is one of my 3 FSR-V Multi's using Spektrum DX5i radio.

I have 2 Spektrum DX5e and 2 Spektrum DX6i, no problems at all with them.
