You don't mean the Deep Rover, do you Colin? One of Norbert Bruggen's creations, I believe?

There's a nice Lafayette sub for sale on this forum. Could be just what you're looking for...

More on it here-

http://www.diveteq.de/html/deep_rover_1002.html

Also there is a video of the sub in action on Norbert's Deep Rover page, scroll down to the bottom of the page, and click on the lowest picture of the sub-

http://www.modelluboot.de/KITS/DeepRover/DeepRover1002.html

It's generally referred to as an underwater helicopter, where more conventional submarines are equivalent to underwater aeroplanes.

Expect to double the cost of the basic kit to get a running model. Most of the kit is made from CNC machined plastic sheet (probably ABS). You also get a clear plastic sphere, which is probably acrylic, possibly polycarbonate, and the side mouldings and the thrusters.

You still need to add a ballast system, motors, radio, esc, lights etc.

A nice model, but I think you really have to want it to justify the outlay.

cheers andy. have got all that. run the prices and spec's through google translator, gibberish out. sent him an email to see if he will supply english translation and more info.
you are right, dead pricey. i was vaguely interested before but fell victim to Layfette instead. it is an interesting project and will be fun to see if i can get the grabs/arms to work. not sure about the motors being open to water and cant make wether the prop shrouds are included in the kit, more expence/hastle if not.
i hate to say this but it looks like i have 2 mullered tranies, goes along way to explain trouble with Perry, though Russ has said that he found a dry solderd joint. i just think it was a combination of small things.
