Help needed please
« on: November 05, 2009, 11:24:39 am »

Hi everyone, my name is Barry and i am new to this forum, I was hoping someone may be able to help. I have a Badger Dynacraft bait boat which has recently had new electrics fitted, when testing it on a local lake it starts off great runs for about 20-30 metres and then the motor stops working, the steering and bait dump mechanism still operate so I am pretty certain it is not a range thing, I am thinking perhaps it is a dodgy ESC. Is there anyway to test them other than buying another one ? Power is from a 12v sla battery. There is no makers name on esc but it is for a brushed motor and runs at 50a forward 20a reverse with5v/1a bec. ( I did think of buying a sub and torpedoing it when it gets stuck out on the lake) Heres hoping someone can help  .
Thanks
Baz.

Hi Baztoo,
Make sure your battery is fully charged as a low battery will give all of your symptoms.
