You hit the nail on the head there.   Most people say you need good eyesight, but glasses can correct that, what can you do about shaky hands?     With miniatures, however, you can correct a shake by resting forearm on table and working with tweezers in thumb and forefinger!

Here is a picture of it just before I put it in the sea.   My wife painted the sea that is made from plasticine.

Wow!, I'm very very impressed and marvel at your workmanship, steady hand/s and eyesight.

More VERY closeup shots would be appreciated.

I can't take any closer ones because it is no longer in my possession!     In any case, it is not always best to look too close as it then looks like clumsy and bad workmanship.   The picture above, for instance, is larger than the actual model.   If you look too closely at a real ship you see lumpy, flaking paint, dents and scrapes etc and it look awful.   To appreciate them, you have to stand off a distance.    The rigging is not all that difficult because it is all made from fine wire.   There are no knots in it at all and each end of the wire is just dipped in glue and then the wire placed in position on the model!    The running blocks are only paint blobs.
This one of the brig MEDIUM is about as close as I can get.

Marvellous, Bob, as are all your models I've had the pleasure of seeing. Wonderful workmanship.

Co-incidentally, I worked with a chap called Norman Court for a number of years. He was the mechanic for the coach company I drove for, but sadly passed away from cancer about 4 years ago. He would have loved to have seen your model.
