 Hi and thanks for replys, BUT what motors and esc would you recomend ?? have seen the link on the build, but unsure on motor and esc sizes:: many thanks STEVE :: ps do you use right stick on radio without spring ?? if so is it possible to fit a rachet on that side,or is there a radio with rachet on both sides, ie up and down not side to side thanks againe::

i use a spring on both i find that when you want no power you can have probs with a ratchet stick unless you use a sprung ratchet that will still self center.

the motors i use are 12v 540 motors but you don't want anything that spins above 7000 rpm it will just cavitate.
the speed control just needs to start the motor softly and be able to take the current i use micro gyros or electronize but have got one of action that has a soft start built in very nice indeed.

My Ayton Cross has a Graupner thruster with Speed 400 motor through a Viper 20amp controller.  Gives very low controlled revs and shifts the tug in a very controlled way.

  HI ITS ME AGINE  TRIED ALL MY LOCAL MODEL SHOPS AND 540/1 MOTORS 12V ARE 15800 RPM AT 12V?? THEY CHECKED WITH MFA AND THEY SAY THAT'S WHAT THEY ARE ???

have a look at mmm they do a 540 for about a tenner with ok revs i got 2 at blackpool
