FALLS OF FOYERS, iron-hulled 4-masted full-rigged ship
« on: November 10, 2009, 05:09:10 pm »

Here is my current construction - the 2,000 ton iron full-rigger FALLS OF FOYERS.   The model is to be shown lying at anchor in a calm sea with the sails all furled.    Quite a major project as this ship carried a total of 25 square sails and was square-rigged on each of the four masts.
Shown here today amid the "chaos" of my mini-shipyard.

Looks very good so far... Do you also build working (Sailing) square Riggers?
Please keep the development photos comming it's allways nice to see a craftman's work

Hello Jimmy,
Thanks.    I once built a three-masted R/C schooner and would no doubt build more if I lived closer to a suitable lake.   I am in Preston and the nearest as far as I can see is Fleetwood and they seem to empty that in winter.
