Good Evening All

I got a CEN Aqua Jet of ebay i'm having problems setting the boat up all it seems to do is churn water ive changed the esc to a Mtroniks 40A and the motor is now a traxxas titan 550 i know the motor/ESC combo works as i have the same setup in a much heavy Riviera RC boat

So iam thinking its the pitch of the prop  ive tryed a X440 but when you hold the bow at full throttle the boat has very little push

ive tryed 7.2v and 14.4v nimh

Anyone got any ideas a Suggestions on a prop size or fix to my problems

Hi, I think you may be over-propped, the recommended on is a 42 x 1.4
http://www.cenracingdirect.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=945
but looking at the picture, the blade area is extremely small in comparison to the 'standard' X type.
This may also be the prop for the bigger motor version - it doesn't specify, in which case you would need one even smaller!
I also noted that, on the review, the speed achieved with a single racing pack was about 9mph, so don't expect miracles.
Cheers
Danny

Perhaps this is a silly question from me, but are you sure the prop is in forward mode. Does the boat go forwards at all.
