Finally a real Virus
« on: November 25, 2009, 04:29:52 PM »

I received this one from a friend, my usuall reaction to these warnings is to delete them and if it is the first time the sender has sent my one is to reply and ask them not to send them. If it is the second time I normall delete that person from my contacts and block or mark as spam any further contact from them. Well this one said that Snopes confirms it, so I checked it out on Snopes (Not using the included link), well I nearly fell off my chair It is a "REAL VIRUS". I had to email the sender and Congratulate her this was the first real virus that someone warned my about. I thought I would pass it on.

"This is real sneaky since at the moment, people will be receiving parcels for Christmas.
New Virus………….This is legitimate. Please pass this along to your friends. The newest virus circulating is:
The UPS/FedEx/DHL Delivery Failure: You will receive an email from UPS/Fed Ex Service along with a packet number. It will say that they were unable to deliver a package sent to you on such-and-such a date.
It then asks you to print out the invoice copy attached. DON'T TRY TO PRINT THIS. IT LAUNCHES THE VIRUS!
Pass this warning on to all your PC operators at work and home.
Snopes confirms that it is real.   http://www.snopes.com/computer/virus/ups.asp"

My experience with most of the Delivery services is they leave a sticky note.
Regards,
Gerald.
