hi there first of all thanks to all who have given me advise on the forum. i finally finished and ran my traxxas villian iv today. still needs a few more tweaks to be done to the trim. im running two 8.4v 4500mah batterys powered by a fusion esc (watercooled) 2x  octura x447 props. 2x yokohama 21 turn motors. fully ball raced out. custom paint job (pics coming soon). overall motors could be a little more powerful but apart from that it is all great. and down to my first model boat succes are a lot of people on this forum who advised and answered all of my questions. special thanks to martin the forum admin.
