Google Earth and O.S. grid references
« on: December 06, 2009, 04:08:42 pm »

Hi all, I wonder if someone can help?  If I have an O.S. grid reference like TQ 082 951,  How does that relate to the Latitude and longitude as shown on Google Earth maps?

Or perhaps it is a different system?

Help would be appreciated.
Regards to all, Roy

Hi Danny, thanks for the reply, I have read the article see the problem but don't think I shall get involved!
My posting was that I was asked to look at what looks like a local council error in defining an area of land using grid references.  May have to buy an OS map of the area!
thanks again, Roy
