suggestions on electrics
« on: December 07, 2009, 08:38:45 pm »

Hi guys, I`ve nearly finished my 49" Perkasa and i`ve put in a MMB 900 motor and i`m wondering if this set-up would be OK to use? A 12volt 4600 mah nimh battery pack (component shop uk).  A P80 condor 20/2 speed contoller (action electronics). The battery pack has a Tamya plug on it, would that cause a problem with the speed controller? Any suggestions on a charger? I`ve emailed component shop but have not as yet received a reply. I`m going to use my old Futaba attack 2ER radio gear. Pete

I think your ESC may struggle, have you asked FLJ for his thoughts?

If I remember correctly the P98 ESC is the one that is suitable for this motor.
It will also take the 24 volts when you decide to have her going just a bit faster!!!

P80 - no go (too many poles on the motor + possible current excess). P98 - go.
