I'd like to make a model of a Fairmile B.
I lived on a converted Fairmile B when I as 12 & loved it.
I wished it was in its working condition

do you know of any plans that I could copy.

The third pic of the Western Diver, is that at the wharves in Auckland? I think I recognise a few of the buildings.
Love the pics and there is a couple of ideas for builds there.

Western Diver ex RML511 was last spotted in Holland in the early 90s.
The Western Lady Ferry Service sold her as River Lady in 1973 and converted to dive support vessel 'Western Diver' in Plymouth. Sold again in 1986, and went to Holland.
Completed June 1942 by JW&A Upham, Brixham, sold out in 1947.
Excellent footage exists of her in late wartime guise in the movie "For Those In Peril".
An earlier photo of her can be seen here;

hi there banana shark

If you do a search on this Forum for the Fairmile B in Mountbatten Pink - you will see some photographs of the model which I scratchbuilt - the ML268. I completely built this model from scratch - I only purchased the port holes and the anchor chain - lazy blighter me  %%

The vessel is one which took part in the St Nazaire Raid; and my model is shown on the St Nazaire website which James Dorrian hosts - here is the link -

 http://www.jamesgdorrian.com/Little%20Ships.html     The model itself was built using John Lambert plans and its construction is true to the form of the original vessel.   Both John Lambert and James Dorrian provide a lot more information regarding this particular model.

John Lambert is very helpful for any queries you may have.    If you give me some time, I still have all the information somewhere on disc and in paper version of the build.  Send me a personal message if you would like me to send you a copy of it.

ML114 is pictured leaving Newhaven. We probably have some info at the Museum. Might even have the date!

We appear to have the original photo (or at least an original print!). Our records state her first mention at Newhaven as July 1940.
