Radio Alphabet
« on: December 09, 2009, 04:27:32 pm »

One for the older lot!! In conversation a short while ago, I was asked why Dog Boats were so called. I said that it was because they were Fairmile D class, D was "Dog" in the old Alphabet. I can remember the new one, Alpha, Bravo, Charly, Delta, Echo etc, but the old one? I used both in my Service  time, ( My Call sign "Roger Dog") but cannot remember the old. Able, Baker Charly Dog.........net please?
