Well it snowed here in Airdrie back on the 21st or something, and it's still lying. We've got about 8" in fits and spurts over the week. We had a few days where the temp poked its head above 0C, but it's well below freezing now (and forecast for -6C over the next couple of nights). Thing is, I've heard that the local council (North Lanarkshire) haven't spent any money on grit. They ran out of cash. That might explain why the grit trucks are sometimes seen but not spreading anything. (Presumably so they can say "the trucks are out" without lying about it). Will I get a rebate on the Council Tax? Nah ... don't think so.
Andy, watching his cats getting steadily more cabin-feverish.
