For years my wife has been on at me to get rid of 2 old wooden handled tennis rackets,..but i kept telling her they might come in handy if we ever get a heavy snow fall,..well i tied them to my boots yesterday, and they work great,..made me look a right plonker, but at least i was able to get to the bottom of the drive without injury, {-)

Exciting and somewhat expensive morning for me unfortunately. A tree in my garden developed a split with the weight of snow and half of it has just come down in my neighbour's garden. Luckily it fell in such a way as to do virtually no apparent damage to either his house or my property for which we are both profoundly grateful. I've got a bill for a few hundred pounds though as removal of the debris and taking down the remainder of the tree is not covered by insurance.

...loads of free firewood, if it falls on your property you can claim it as salvage rights.

Making homesick now, snow in Brixham and the wolf loved it.

Hi John,
hope your holidays were good

Well been up to RAF Marhem and North Walsham today. The drive between Marham and North Walsham was not good. Snow covered road 90% of the way. The trip back on the A11 was all OK. made good time back. If you are thinking of going to North Norfolk over the weekend DON'T. or take GREAT care on the roads up there.
