if you use a external water tank to connect to your clack valve so you can do a quick top up without having to have a have water tanks or spanners to tighten up joints this is what you need , got a few of these today and they look ideal they are even a dry break not that you need one so it would be easy to have a tank and hand pump to top up boiler before you release the boat etc.

Another option is to replace the clack valve with a Goodall valve. This might be desireable if you have trouble with the clack ball sticking:
