Southampton docks travel early Monday.
« on: January 08, 2010, 09:53:00 am »

Hi I am picking up friends at Southampton docks from QM2  Monday 11th Jan at 9 a.m.  Can anyone local give me an idea of current travel situation, I am coming from M 25 via M3 and M27 - M271.
Are the local Southampton major roads reasonably clear?  I had a nightmare journey 2 weeks ago to Heathrow but it was the access roads that were dodgy, not the motorways.
Any help most appreciated.
regards Roy

Stick to M3, M27, M271 and A35 to docks, roads are fine. Dont come of main roads as these roads havent been gritted.

Mind you we have snow forecast for Sunday night.

Hi Dickd thanks for your advice which I shall follow to the letter.  Probably allow 2 1/2. hours for the journey and take my own coffee.
thanks again, Roy
