David (Semperatis) is quite a way in front (sorry Ashley). He has been racing 6 days to AshUK's 8 days.
I was very close to where they are on day 6 (GinaT)  :o

Don't worry Craig, you're heading straight for Singapore at 7 knots with the right sail.
Should  be nearly there be the time you wake up  :-))

The Jules Verne race is not on my first page options!
Can anyone else get into it, or has it been stopped?
I know the main group finished some time ago but I didn't see any notice about it closing.

The Clipper is still ok this end, Craig. You're just about to get to Singapore (6.1 knots - 13 miles to go)  :-))
Try in the morning.
Cheers

ATTENTION
You can still get to the Jules Verne race and it is still going on!!!

Its a bit of a roundabout way of getting in, but it works -

go to
http://www.virtualregatta.com/index_julesverne.php
click "play/register" (do NOT sign in with the box in the top left corner)
enter your login and pw

and there you are  :-))
You have to do this every time (at the mo) as the top login box takes you to the page withour the JV listed.

On with the fun ... these Froggies won't get the better of us  {-) {-) {-)

You will get a start towards the back of the fleet on the general route of the race.

Kim, you start off where the pilotboat is (it sets off at the same time but travels slowly). So in 3 hours you should not lose much.
It mal look bad because all the boats will be bunched together so you can lose or gian thousands in the early stages.
If you log into Clipper (you've forgotten that one ... heading due South??) and search for "pilotboat", you can see its basic track.
This also explains your "off course" starting position in the Clipper race - the pilotboat goes the most direct route, even if it doesn't make it!
