Static Period Boats
« on: December 11, 2006, 03:26:08 pm »

In the "Builds" section there are forums for Subs, tugs, warships etc.  is anyone interested in a forum devoted to period static boats?  The Mantua, Nelson Navy, Sergal, Victory Models, type of kits or even scratch built?

Yes I think that would be a good idea, as years ago I started HMV Bounty from the delprado part work. What a mess I made of the planking, aided and abeted by ambigiuos instructions. I have yet to start their cutty sark so I think a seperate section would be a good idea.

Have no great interest in static models; but would be very interested in the black art of "plank on frame" construction !
