RAMON DE LARRINAGA (Complete at Last)
« on: January 19, 2010, 09:39:48 am »

Greetings everyone,
RAMON DE LARRINAGA 32'=1" Scratchbuilt.
I have completed it at last.    It took a total of just over 60 hours to build (Including display case).
I have posted the completed pictures in this new thread so I can see how many modellers are interested in this sort of thing.

Thanks for replies, pleased to here it was generally appreciated.     Despite its name, it was a British ship, registered in Liverpool.    They were all names after members of the Larrinaga family who moved to the UK either in the late 1800s or early 1900s to set up Larrinaga Line.    This well-respected company was dissolved in 1974.

Yes, another little gem - I hope it does well at auction, it deserves to.

Thanks for your comments.     No need to go to auction on this one, its sale was confirmed this morning!

Absolutely superb job Bob.  A lovely traditional ship looking it's best and not quite too far back that we can't remember them!

I thoroughly enjoyed the build thread as well, thanks for taking the time with that.
