Now that's also a good show worth going to. The Barbie on Saturday evening is very good - although it is hosted by some nutter in his pyjamas! %% O0
See you all there.

Hi Guy
The Problem has, I think been solved. I have had a PM from Dave, your Chairman. We may have resolved the problem, I suggest you speak to him. As for not attending the show, I understand what you are saying but please don't shoot the messanger. I only wish to see this show live again, and I know that you do too.
I am not the organ grinder just the monkey.
if you wish for comments to be put to Richard directely than give me a PM and I will give you his home telephone number.
Regards
Graham

Graham, i know you dont make the rules, i was hnot having a go at you personally !- as it happens i also have richards number !!!--

i actually want this show to be reborn as it were, i just find 'the beale logic' bizarre........there is nothing worse than seeing another show go into demise and dissapear.....

i have spoken with dave and we will work on a solution..

For some reason not included in Graham's list of traders is Component-Shop (Batteries etc)

Hi All,
Whoops, sorry mate but I confused another Trader with Ian's 'Component Shop'. Way back I listed All Components rather than Component Shop. My fault - I buy items from All Components for my own garden railway!! All Components won't be attending the show but Component Shop will. Sorry for the confusion.

Hi Guys,
Just a reminder to get your applications in to me before the 26th as these have to be approved by the Organisers at Beale before the day. Please remember as what has been mentioned many times in this thread - Applications for the free entry is confined to ten bonafide Club members.
Just remember also that ten independent modellers can use the jokers card that I hold to get you a free ticket, but you must again contact me before the 26th.
All best regards
Graham

Dear Modellers
Deans marine have always supported the Beale park model boat show as we feel that it was, and still can be one of the top model boat shows around, so all the ticket touts who would run our hobby down for a few quid in their pockets, come to the show, and be part of the show, or try Lego, and stop slagging off something we enjoy.
Many visitors to shows like to see new items, we have pulled out all the stops now we have managed to get back from Germany.? so we will be at the Beale show with 9 new models + 2 new prototypes kits, the new range of Albion brass micro tubes + nickel silver tubes and rods in 1 mtr lengths, the new RB fittings, a large range of new brass props and styrene strips from Raboesch (yes we still stock the full range contrary to what you read)  plus all the usual goodies.
Look forward to seeing you at the Beale show, where else can you get a nice park, free camping and car parking, nice safe water, enjoyment for the families, and a owner who is a model boat nut, just like us, he does it for the money I hear the sad ones cry ? do not kid yourselves that we are that important to the park, the boaters are just a minnow, if we lose it, it will be lost forever, and that will be a great shame.
Please enjoy the pics, and we hope to see you at the Park

Hi Guys,
Its the young/old F..t here.
Just to update you all - so far..............
13 Traders have booked in plus another which we are trying to squeeze into the Beale Centre.
18 plus Clubs have booked in so far and there are several who have applied for entry forms which are being sent out from Beale this week.
88 plus Exhibitors are attending the show.
Numbers are going up every day!

I feel that you guys have rallied round and shown to many that the 'old dog' known as the Beale Show is not dead but has been sleeping. Give yourselves a big slap on the back. Thank You!!

I hope to be there on Saturday (May 1), I'm also hoping to bring my motor yacht (unfinished but in running condition) to run + display on the Black Park stand.
This year's show certainly has potential to be a great improvement - though I still thought last year had a fairly good turnout of clubs and some interesting models sailing, even if there was less trade support. Beale Park is certainly a great venue for a model boat show and I hope this event keeps going!

Hi All,
Here is the final posting from the organiser of the Beale Park May Boat Festival.

The large side gate will be manned from 8.30am - 11.00am on Saturday and Sunday.
All the exhibitors who have booked in should be aware that they need to bring their own gazebos and tables, (as per letter)

On arrival they will need to go to the side gate, show their identity and the boat they wish to exhibit, there will be a spreadsheet of who has booked in.  People assisting with the monitoring of the side gate will need to confirm their names etc with the spreadsheet, tick them off the list/spreadsheet and then issue them with their wristband.

Accompanying guests ie wives, partners, children siblings not exhibiting will need to go through the Beale Park Ticket office and pay the normal entrance fee.

There will be on the last count Twelve Traders plus approx. 150 Exhibitors in twenty plus Clubs.

I wish everybody has a damned good weekend and hope to see you all there.

If there are any changes I will try and post them here before we leave for the show.

Regards
Graham Sheppard
