Prestwich Model Boats
« on: December 13, 2006, 08:55:47 pm »

Do they still exist?
I placed a small order via their website and received notification of acceptance by e.mail on Nov 6th but to date I have heared nothing from them. My e.mails have gone unanswered and when I have 'phoned there has been no reply. I'm a Subpostmaster and given the time of year I have no time to keep 'phoning - but then I shouldn't have to!
To be fair, no money seems to have been taken from my card account but this has set back my first build project somewhat.
Is it me or can any of you shed light on this?

Regards,
Keith

Prestwich stilll exist  ;D
Dave sometimes takes a while to get stuff out but it always arrives. Last time I chatted with him he was extremely busy. No excuse for no contact however...You may like to try and contact him through his ebay id "winninisall".

I've bought stuff via the mail from Dave Marles and got good service, and he usually responds to e-mails fairly quickly. I should imagine the racers are doing their builds/rebuilds for next season, that'll be keeping him busy.

Ian,
Many thanks for your assistance. I appreciate our suppliers are not overstaffed and I can sympathise when they are overwhelmed - bit like being a Subpostmaster at Christmas. Pleased to hear that my experience with Prestwich is not the norm.
