Nice one Dave, how about setting up 'The quick brown fox' etc etc so I can get back up to speed on flag signals ?? Never was much cop on them and as for semaphore - definetly a black art involving 180deg reversals in the brain  ;D ;D

best regards

Dave

We Sheffielders, even exiled ones, must stick together. What the quick brown fox does most of the time is jump over the lazy dog. Clearly you've never been a typist. 'The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog' is a well-known typing exercise that uses every letter of the alphabet at least once, there are other sentences that do this, but the fox/dog one is easy to remember.

Thanks anmo, don't know how I picked it up as I've never progressed beyond the one finger peck, there again I have known one or two typists over the years so maybe I picked it up from one of them.   ::) ::) ;) ;)

Happy New Year Everyone

Hi Ammo,
Cheers Mate, when you get a "u" in english you tend not to pick them things up. Nice to see another Sheffielder on here.

Happy New Year to one and all

It must be me but I still cannot get mine animated. The glasses are supposed to be empty and the bottle levitates and fills them.

....and NO, I keep looking all over France but I have never found one of these self replenishing bottles!

Thank you, Faradays Cage.    phew, what a marathon.  Needed Martins help in the end. Great to have moving pictures at last.  Seems I'm a Captain now, and still haven't been to sea   :)

Happy new year

Yep, just like that!

But this morning (01 Jan) I guess there will be a few guys about who would prefer not to think about opening bottles!

The temptation here in France is to enjoy super wines at good prices, which for me means that as I savour a glass I laugh and think how much it would have cost me in England. Last night for example a 1996 bottle of Premier Class St Emillion Grand Cru?????

And boating is cheaper too!

Cheers to all for 2007. May your time afloat be all that you want it to be.

As you will all see, I am now the proud proprietor of an animated Avatar.

MANY THANKS to Ken C. and Martin who got it working for me.

Maybe this message should also go under "Other hobbies" as wine drinking is one of my other hobbies, even a dedicated activity!

Didn't realise you had that avatar Terry, I just found it last night and now I'll have to go find another one from my freebie stock. How do you get the coaster steaming across the bottom ? Want one, want one !! ::) ::)
