sanding and filling...
« on: February 06, 2010, 11:15:25 AM »

So there I am, sanding away at the deck spacers on the Dragonfish, covered in plastic dust, unshaved and unshowered as yet (I wanted to get the sanding and filling done this morning before I hit the shower) hair not combed, dressed only in jogging bottoms and a t-shirt....deck in one hand, sandpaper in the other, and the door bell rang. "Oh naff" said I, and managed to open the door without dropping the deck or the sandpaper, to find what can only be described as the most gorgeous of females standing there. Instant embarrassment...

"Good morning" she says with a beautiful smile on her face..."I'd like to ask you, is The Lord is with you today?" I tried a smile in return, but forgot me teeth weren't glued in yet. More embarrassment...

Then she noticed the wording on my t-shirt...(see pic below...(suitably altered)) She obviously wasn't a Pistols fan...she looked at her watch, muttered something about the time, and was down the stairs and out of the hall door like a greased weasel.

Oh well...back to sanding and filling.

No, no, no - you're doing it all wrong.
You should have invited her inside even before she grocked your T-shirt. If you played your cards right you could have had her doing all that sanding and filling. And if you were really good you could have had her run you a hot tub, give you a shave, make your breakfast, etc, etc.......
After all, she *did* say she was doing the work of the Lord, right?

Your opening line should have been something along the lines of:

He is on my doorstep in the form of the most gourgeous angel imaginable  :D

Cheesy or what?

Many years ago in the entrance to our supermarket, I was approached by a nicely painted young lady.  "Could I interest you in a fitted kitchen?" said she, smiling through the undercoat and satin finish top coat.  "Certainly.  Your place or mine?" said I.  The smile set, then went a bit brittle in the eye area.  The ride home with my lady wife was, to say the least, quiet.
Just as well she wasn't flogging bedrooms.

"When I looked through the spy hole I thought my luck had changed..."

She's here, as we speak. Sez to tell you she'll be around again in the morning, sez she'd *love* to see your tube (presumably, your u-boat).

"The ride home with my lady wife was, to say the least, quiet."

Aw, man - that's the time to kick 'em out the car. When they start all that silent treatment malarkey, sulking and what-not, that's the time to stop the car, pull over, get out, walk to her side, yank open the door, grab her hold by the scruff of the the neck, drag her out, get back in, drive off.
Of course, not one member in the whole of Mayhemville would dare do such a dastardly deed. It's just that when U33 mentioned living dangerously......... ;)

The ball of double entendre is rolling now.
Experience suggests that this topic will most likely go downhill.
It is the topic that is being watched, not the original poster.

There are loads of Websites for the type of humour that may develop. Mayhem is perhaps not an appropriate platform for it.
If this topic does degenerate, some action is inevitable.

We hope you understand.
