NCIS
Sort of like the Avengers, but with better plot lines, and better character interplay. And a few brilliant one-liner in-jokes.
Mythbusters. But only with the English speaking voice-over.
The cheapo documentaries are becoming noticeable (via interminable repeats) mainly for the unforced errors, thoroughly ignorant PHd's spouting badly thought out drivel, cheap CGI and talking down to the audience. The concentration on impact, rather than content, doesn't improve their case.
Currently, its on the Travel Channel, showing "Swiss Railway Journeys". Not mentally challenging, but informative wallpaper with pleasant pictures, lucid accurate explanations of some amazing engineering achievements, and nobody shouting that "If that nut is not put on properly the end will fall of and we all GONNA DIE!!!"
