What Glue for pool noodles
« on: February 02, 2010, 12:39:21 pm »

Has anybody found a glue that works on pool noodles?

Contact Adhesive may do it, but ideally I want something that won't go soft and fall apart in temperatures of 40*c and above.

Soy or oyster sauce!
That what I like with noddles.  :-)

For those that have something to add, pool noodles are swimming flotation aids made from 'hard' Extruded Polyethylene foam...

You know that I'm playing around with an RIB for one of the next EeZeBilts - I am using 1 1/4" foam insulation for piping, which I guess is close to your noodles?

I will probably use contact to stick the insulation to the (painted) surface, but to stick foam to foam I am using pound-shop cyano - here is a picture of a joined bit of foam and one which has been pulled apart to insert a copper wire shaper...
