Hi Martin and fellow modellers

Today it was a warm Spring day on Vancouver Island, British Columbia ( +8 C ) and I finally got the chance to sail my 1/72  freelance DDG after a few months in the dockyard. This model is powered by two Robbe 755 motors, each with its own ESC, 60mm 3 bladed Rivabo props ...battery is a 12 volt 7ah battery. Ballast consists of 10 x l pound bars of lead and a 12 volt 5ah battery used to power the MP3 sound system. The radio is a Spektrum DX5E .

For those of you who study warship designs, you will see a resemblance to the JMSDF Tachikaze class DDG...liberties
taken of course, no attempt to be scale, just realistic proportions. I get as much enjoyment from designing my models as I do in building and sailing.

Cheers from my dockyard

John
