Ross Floyd's Seaport Tug.
« on: February 10, 2010, 08:31:04 pm »

Via email to Mayhem...

I came across your excellent site and as I've modified my own 'Dickie Tug'
herewith a few pics.

40 meg 6 ch radio, extra lights, cabin illumination, searchlights,
Scalextric pit crew, and some nasties recovered from the sea bed plus oil
drums in front of doors, loops of wire rope and something horrid oozing out
of the drums.  I called it Karmic Explorer II on the assumption that No. I
met its demise.....

Rudder was modified with a forward nozzle extension as the model would not
turn going astern.  9.6 v nimi battery and decent esc. We use 4 channels so
nothing more than the original except it works for more than 5 minutes and
looks good, especially when the light is fading and you put all the nav and
work lights on.
