  Didn't hear that. Condolences to his family. Its not surprising though considering he had that blood clot problem. He didn't change his smoking and soft drink habits either so that certainly didn't help. However, he guess he lived his life doing hat he loved.

Had a stroke on 29th January passed away after his heart failed after showing some improvemnts

as a fan of deadliest catch, I am sad to hear about the loss of Phil.

A captain who will be truly missed.
