Captured Ships / boats
« on: February 13, 2010, 09:50:26 am »

I know that 4 Flower Class corvettes served under the flag of the Kriegsmarine. Captured when a dockyard in Northern France was taken by the Germans.
I also believe that there was a couple of S-boats in the Royal Navy. Captured after breakingdown in English Channel.

Are there others, what a different model that would make.

HMS Graph (pennant number P715) was a Type VIIC U-boat. Originally the U-570 of the German Kriegsmarine, she was captured and commissioned into the Royal Navy during World War II. She was the only German U-boat to be taken into Allied service and to see active service with both sides in World War II.

Did not the IJN also have at least one Flower class that was building in Hong Kong?
