That is a splendid looking boat, i can see why it has taken the time it did. I can see from your photo's that you have two Revell Snowberry class boats, have you made them yet,if so are they working models. The reason why i'm asking this is because i am currently working on the Revell kit, which is beeing modified to radio control, so any advice would be of great help.
One more thing before i go, has you father had the chance to take the helm of your finished model?

Kind Regards: Voyager (From the UK)

Hi Voyager,

If you have broadband/ISL I can send you the contents of a CD I put together after radio controlling my HMS Bluebell. Includes photos of my model. Just PM me with an email address.

This offer is open to any others who want it. The contents include scanned magazine articles on converting the Matchbox(Revell) kit. I used the articles as guidelines. I used the Kit rudder and I found an alloy propeller with the same diameter and pitch as the kit one. The propshaft was a standard ripmax tube which will fit although the plastic was a bit thin in places  ::)

I'm currently (slowly) building a Flower OOB for RC conversion as a first build. What or how did you approach the scuttles, or dare I say port holes? Only I need to paint the hull, and I'm not sure whether to paint it first and then insert them, or whether to fix the scuttles and then paint over them.

regards,

Mark

Hi Mark
Voyager sealed his and painted them black.
I left mine clear, fitted them and painted after.
Voyager sprayed his boat mine was hand painted.
