...Hi Guys...

I notice in the pictures that she has had the windows/portholes in the Deckhouse changed at some time...

Can someone tell me what was first...

I would say the model is an 'interpretation', tugs down have windows like that in the superstructure.

I believe Malcolm Reade of "Reade Models" (see traders directory) is building a large scale model of her.

A PM to Malcolm may be worthwhile.

Hi Norry,

I'm sure one of the model mags did a plan and photo shoot of the real thing.

If no one comes up with the month/mag I will have a look tomorrow

Hiya,
MMI November 2004 has the focus file and plan, and MMI June 2007 has a build feature.

Hi Norry, there is a build article in the new revised edition of 'The Model Tugboat Book' I think it is the same article that was in MMI. Plan is MAR 3100 in 1/30th scale......Smudge....... :-))

...Hi Guys...

Following a visit to my Model Boat Club this Afternoon and a discussion with the Gentlman who built the model my query is now answered...It was what came first on the Deckhouse...Small portholes or Large Windows...

The Answer is ....Both... According to the Plans this tug has Small Portholes on the Port Side of the Deckhouse & Large Windows on the Starboard Side of the Deckhouse...This was how it was built...

So my next Question is ....WHY...?....

...Best Regards...Norry...

Possibly related to the internal layout of the superstructure. Did she have any sleeping accommodation for instance?
