A sad day. As was said on another forum, perhaps more fitting that she went down in a storm, instead of rotting away in some harbour or far off shore, like many of the tall ships of the past.

Luckily no loss of life, despite the bad weather.

And most people don't care about spelling on forums. A bit of an irrelevance.

I remember, as a member of the Joburg branch of the World Ship Society, going aboard the Concordia whilst she was on a visit to Durban; I think it was in the early nineties. A fine vessel, which appeared to be impeccably maintained (I still have a brochure that they gave us). Very sad to hear of her loss, but glad that there was no loss of life. Glyn
