Just Saying Hello

Hi All

Another newby,well not quite.

I modelled R/C Boats about 25 years ago and packed up due to work and wife.

Now retired (I'm 62) I need to get out a bit so I joined the local club.

I don't have anything at the moment,no boat no tools nowhere to build but I am hoping to order a Modelslipway
Loyal Class next week.

Radio will be a 2.4 Gig Radiolink,there are a lot at the club so they must be ok.

Other interests well,I have played guitar for 50 years,so I reckon it's time I
did something different.

Welcome Alan, Model Slipway are a good choice, their kits are excellent, I have done five and am thinking of a sixth. You have any problems and Jackie and Laurie are only to pleased to help no matter how silly the question..

Hi to you too Alan,
        A late starting newbie myself (60) and have also started with a loyal class from Model Slipway - am well pleased with the kit and there's a good build review by Ivor Warne on the Model Slipways site.  Feel sure you'll enjoy the forum, I've had an awful lot of help from the guys.

Thanks for the welcome everyone,nice to know the kit I have chose is suitable.

Slipway seem to have a good reputation and I spoke to Lawrie yesterday and learnt
more in 5 minutes than I ever have.

Martin,if you want a tune it can be arrenged.lol

Have a nice day,I'm off to get the new Model Boats mag.
