Chris try a old door, or cupboard door, from a second hand building shop this is both  cheap and ideal or cut down a old surf board,or better still a learn to swim board like a booge board,we have a barge which is two doors glued together and shaped as a barge stits on the roof racks carrys a tug or two and easey for three or four tugs to push around tassie48.
