If you go into the MBMI web site - under your image you should see embed code

A bit like this [i m g]http://modelboatmayhemimages.co.uk/images/2018/01/12/CD5D93D1-505D-4753-A82E-435F39F30A3E.jpg[/ i m g]

If you copy the text line above - paste into your post and remove the four spaces I inserted so it showed the URL not the image > eg  at both start and end of URL should be [i m g] remove spaces

I dont know if my problem has any relevance to your posting attempts, but I have established uploading photos to my Album with little trouble weeks ago
but I cannot post any of them in a Reply.  It appears that my Samsung Tablet is not copying or picking up the file from the Embed code box in order that i can
paste it into my Reply,
It works on my windows PC though! So It seems not to like android commands?

For now forget the green button...

2 stage process

1. Upload the image to MBMI server - you have already done this once. When viewing the full size image of your uploaded pic on MBMI you will see bottom left of screen the word "embed codes" - click on this link the green arrow is pointing to and you will see a lost of embed codes -

2. Use the 5th option down BBCode - position the mouse to the right of the box (red highlight) and the word "copy" will appear - click on this with your mouse and paste the code into your Mayhem Forum post - bingo!

Lets see if a walk through helps.

Click on the green cloud icon, above the  :-))  emoji. This will bring up this page. (If you are logged into the Mayhem image hosting page/site).

Select option of from file/take picture/url.
I have already taken a picture, (screenshot in this case). So find image on device, select image and this screen should be next.

Click the green upload button and that will upload image onto your Mayhem image hosting account. Once it has uploaded it takes you back to the reply page. Simply press the green cloud icon again, this will take you back to this page.

Right, top left corner are 3 horizontal bars, click that to bring up the menu page, thus.

Click on your username and this will take you to your image home page.

Scroll down to image you want to upload and gently draw your finger from right to left on the right hand side of the screen (may differ from devices), this brings a side tab menu up, tap on the top box, a tick should appear showing you have selected that image for uploading.

Click on action tab, this will open up more options like this.

You may to scroll down, but click on 'full BB code'.
This will change the page back. At the top is a tab that says 'copy' click on that (it should turn yellow). You have now copied the link to your image/picture. Pull the screen down and a black 'x' should be up in top right corner, click on it to clear the link. Again in top right corner should (depending on device) be a small box with 2 in it, click on that and you should then see the reply page on Mayhem. Go to that and simply paste the code into your reply.

I seriously hope I have got that right, otherwise I will get the lemon of the week award............ %%

Not visible on the reply page, they are purely a link for the system to show the image. Once you press post you should see them in the new upload post.

chris, it tried a few minutes ago..reduced the size of your photos from 2.2mb to just 75 kb.......and then tried to upload them....sadly the type of file you sent me would not load into here.

so probably your file configuration might be the problem.

Two different concepts at work here

Neil is advising on the "attachments" function of the post where the image is stored and saved directly into the forum database ( this route is slowly choking the forum to death IMHO)

The other route using MBMI is simply storing a text HTML URL link to where the image is stored in your post - the actual image itself is stored externally to the forum server

Chris

Copy and paste the line below into a new post and hit post having deleted the blank space after the second character so the text reads img and not i mg between the square brackets

[i mg]http://modelboatmayhemimages.co.uk/images/2018/01/12/CD5D93D1-505D-4753-A82E-435F39F30A3E.jpg

Your image will appear

I thought this new system was an answer to the demands of photo hosting sites asking for gold nuggets.
Is there a problem with the old system that Neil is advocating?
I have always used that route, but if it degrades the forum I would like to know from the MD :::MD

The Techy nature of the new posting facillity is irritating when it doesnt work for you and tends to spoil the enjoyment of slapping a couple of pics up
onto your post .
Ill make do with the original method  I think........for now

Nordlys,

If you ignore that green button for now - can you open MBMI seperately and copy "embed code" for an image and paste that into your reply post?

What part of the procedure are you having all the trouble with?

With me it just wont copy the embed code (on my tablet) but, have to say it works ok from the PC.

In fact, following all the instructions  from c3po and others its simple enough (on PC!} and you'll wonder why all the fuss!
Its the tablet that Im trying to get to work.
