Yes confirmed.

There are two way to upload photos:       &

Uploads direct to the forum Server. Limited to 800 x 600 pixels, 500Kb per image, 5meg total per post.

Uploads to a New / separate Mayhem server.  6Meg per image, unlimited images per post, auto resizing, conversion, naming etc.
( Max of 10 images per post is a good guide ... otherwise it get very confusing! )

For those of us with a poor internet connection, too many photos in one post makes downloading pages very slow.

I don't know which I use (but I suspect the first in which case your 800x600 is incorrect) but using the "attachments and other options"  button under the message I upload photos 1500 x ??? under 300kb & they upload just fine. See all these:

Martin, Its been sometime since I last posted a picture and I notice this time with this picture above that there was no Upload
to click on? Im sure there used to be?
So having selected my photo I just blindly hit Post and yep! it appeared on the thread.
Has anything altered or am I imagining the Upload bit?

I have managed to post a picture or two of my Boston Typhoon build but during the initial failed attempts I now have three identical pictures on the Mayhem image site. I cannot find a way to delete the excess images. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Thanks.

I've had a look myself and I thought there was a delete button at one time to do this?
Dont see it now.......

Hi Martin. The problem isn't about modifying or editing posts, but how to delete unwanted images from Mayhems image site.

Les, I remember having this same problem very soon after Martin launched the new image site. I queried this myself at that time as I couldnt erase
pics I had uploaded to my album. Then a delete feature appeared and all was well!

Sorry for the delay, I've been pondering this for some time...... Delete will not be reinstated.

As per the Photobucket debacle, we don't want big holes all over the Forum from deleted photos.

Just send me a PM for photos you want deleting.   :-)

I understand that Martin. It's just that when I was trying to post a photo on Mayhem I somehow ended up with three identical images in my image album. All they are doing now is taking up storage space. I just wanted to delete two of the three. Rather than make things complicated I'll leave them alone.

Ah! Don't worry about that Les, the new server is set up differently to the Forum server.
It costs the same no matter how much we use.

 Thanks for your concern.  :-))

Its not  photos  on the forum that we want to delete its any unwanted photos in the Image album. I distinctly remember this issue from early on after
Martin had launched the new Mayhem Image storage, a delete button then appeared which enabled me to tidy up any photos not wanted
in the album - and I used it!

Hi Nordlys
I can understand Martin's point. If we deleted any photo from our image album which had already been placed in a forum post, that photo could not appear in the post again, leaving text with no photo to back it up.

Ok I get that, I dont know the complexities of how it works and wouldn't have thought of that scenario.
Posting photos on here has been an issue for me because of the file size limitations, so I stick to resizing using my old
Photoshop software.
Simples......
Thanks Les,
Nordlys.

I understand that there is now no need to resize any image which you have saved to your album. This is done automatically if you add a picture, from your album, to a post.
