FUTABA AND PLANET R/C EQUIPMENT
« on: March 23, 2010, 04:17:26 pm »

Malcolm at Cornwall Model Boats is now starting to stock Futaba stuff and he would like to know what the chaps on this forum would be likely to buy, as he wants to continue to offer a comprehensive service to to you lot.

He would also like to mention that the distributor of the Planet R/C mode 2 system is running low on stock and will shortly have none, the mode 1 system is out of stock. Last time this happened it was 4 weeks before new stocks entered the country.
Malcolm is selling, on average, 12 sets a week so they are going fast.

If there is anything else you feel he should stock [sensible answers only] could you post a reply please.

Thanks guys.

Dickie,

I don't use Futaba products. My main RC equipemnt is Spektrum, and I still have an Hitec 40 Mhz.

If I were starting to stock Futaba radios for model boats then my list would include a 2.4GHz 6 channel set; 40MHz 4 and 6 channel sets, and 2 channel sets on 27MHz AM and 40 MHz AM.

I can recommend CMB. Have had excellent service from them.  :-))

Personally I'd recommend the Futaba steerwheel radios. Easy to use, comfortable to hold. OK not much cop if you want many channels but otherwise, excellent.
