Some of the deepest wells in the world are off the coast of Brazil and the UK well over 1000M .... I've done bottom sampling at over 3000M off the coast of W Africa For oil company's...And in the Straits of Magellan for the Argies in 83/84 The Argies are desperate to find oil anywhere but to the best of my knowledge so far they have had little luck but then the odds are 37 wells drilled fore one to even find traces
