How Old is my boat.

Hi I got this boat on flebay and have started to do it up. I have allready found Oak planking which was covered over by white emulsion paint over the hull.
Any way can any one tell What the boat is , When was the real one built or just about any other info  about this boat. I want to put lights and some music in her for Wiki park but I'm not sure what 50,60,70, ??

Keilcraft made a Meteor and a Mercury which are very similar to yours, in 1961.

They are similar, but the unknown boat has a longer cockpit at the stern with a sloping coaming. I wonder if it's another Maycraft model - a somewhat bigger one...

It doesn't match any kit that I'm aware of, nor is it one of the MAP plan designs of the 1960s period.  The raised foredeck suggests that it is unlikely to be a kit as this would have made it more expensive to produce. So maybe it is essentially a freelance design based on a prototype of the period late 1950s - 1960s.

The superstrucrture features were typical of the period but no Aerokits ever looked like that.

Thanks for the info so far. Ok so we think it is based on a 1950/1960 boat then. That will do for me. Anymore input is allways welcome. :-))

Well I am happy to report My boat had a run out on the lake today. The speed controller and motor got a little warm and the ESC cut out after a short time. No probs as I have another ESC which should do the job. I am going to fit a water cooling set.
Now I turn my attention to the cabin colour side walls. My wife says a creamy colour im not sure ! anyone Else want to suggest a colour for just the side of the cabin ?

A lot of full size Thames cruisers used the varnish/cream colour scheme and they really complement each other

Go with the Cream / just off pearl white Bill. She looks really good I saw her on e-bay but too many other things to do first, so did not bid.
As for the date--yup I agree with all early 60's

Now put one of MMB's 900 motor's in it and get it on the plane.........

Looking good for night sail at wikki then
