My Boat Builds - The Scout, Fishing Coble & Wyeforce Tug
« on: March 28, 2010, 05:41:39 pm »

Hi Folks,

Been on the forum a couple of months now and i really enjoy seeing the build reports.

A few months ago, I purchased a Model Slipway Wyeforce kit. This is my first tug kit, but i have built a fishing coble up from a GRP hull and a Metcalf Mouldings 'The Scout' lifeboat.

These builds aswell as the tug have a build log on my site - www.danwalker.co.uk/boats.html  I hope the admins dont mind this link to my site, theres no adverts, purely just a build log.

I dont intend to re-create the build log on this forum as its easier to just post on my site with all templates laid out etc.. but please do leave any comments or questions on this thread. I'll also update this thread when i update the site.

Well that particular spot is pretty sheltererd and there is a bit of drift if the boat is sat stationary. I'd maybe think twice about putting the tug in there.

Dan, take a ball of string with you, fasten it to the tug as a safety line until you are satisfied that the tug will operate correctly then you can remove it and sail free.  ;)

Hey Mike,

Lol, you know me too well. I got a big big roll of high strength fishing line in the car and will use that. Been thinking of a difference colour scheme for the tug and struggling.
