Looking For Lifeboat plans!!
« on: March 30, 2010, 08:00:41 am »

hi there, I am looking for lifeboat plans for the following boats,

70ft clyde class lifeboat . "CHARLES H BARRETT", "Grace Paterson Ritchie" ?

47 foot Watson class lifeboat "TGB" ?

52 and 54ft Arun class lifeboat "The Queen Mother"? "BP Forties"

Waveney class lifeboat, "White Rose of Yorkshire"?

Can any one help, as I was given a 1/12 scale hull for the watson, waveney and aruns but no plans, photos or names of the ships..#

Also for a family project I am looking for drawings to build the clyde class lifeboat.

Cheers

Jim :-))

Hi Jim

I obtained the plans to my Severn from the R.N.L.I at Poole.  Maybe they can help you with different models.

They come out at around £6 per sheet and I needed three for mine. Unfortunately two were of a different scale, but this was corrected when I had them converted to 1:12 each.

Hope this helps.

Has anyone built a 42ft Watson Beach launched Lifeboat
I was involved in converting RNLIB Charles Dibden into
a luxury cruiser We stripped her to the frames (oak)
and re-skinned her with mahogany strips and diagonal mahogany
sheets then coated her in nylon cloth and many gallons
of epoxy resin.
She turned out OK I spent a lot of hours at sea on her
I would like to attempt a model of the original vessel
Any Ideas?

Yours Aye
